I have just visited a blog that features great gift items. With the upcoming holiday I urge one and all to stop by and check out their offerings. There may be something there you can put on a list for a friend or family member.

The blog is well written, and informative, not to mention its clean and great look!

Thanks Erica (blog owner) for sharing.

Small Gift Ideas for Fellow Workers

Here are some great gift giving ideas for fellow workers or for all the ladies in a ladies club:

1. Tea in a cup. Get some tea bags of exotic teas, some that people don't usually drink, put them in a small coffee/tea cup. Put some candy in the middle of a large piece of plastic wrap, put the coffee cup in the middle and tie a big bow on top and walla there you have a small but nice gift.

2. Hand made items. Most ladies, and even some men out there are crafty.. why not make a hand made scarf, crochet or knitted, and give to an office worker, or you men are you into wood working?? well then put your talents to work for you.

3. A small care package. Sometimes we are strapped for time, and we need to order an item on line, but the money well its an issue... instead of ordering a full blown gift get a small care package with a small stuffed animal, to remind the recipient of a generous thought.

4. A gift card for coffee. Yes, I said a gift card. Gift cards are impersonal in my opinion, however being that so many love coffee, it is a gift from the heart.

Well there you have it, a few gift ideas. I welcome any and all your input, maybe we can add to the list.

Party Ideas for Halloween

You can have contest for the spookiest costume, funniest, the least dressed, the most dressed.

Make a list of words that describe Halloween for example, ghost, ghouls, black cats, witches, brooms, cauldrons........ and see if any one comes close to the list you made. Tell them there are 20 words that describe Halloween........

Bobbing for apples. This one that goes way back. This is fun and can keep a party going.

Have a game of twister. Have those lil ones get out there and have some fun with the kids. HEY you big kids join in too!

Have a spooky pot luck. Invite friends and family and have everyone dress up for Halloween. Tell each person to bring a small gift for the winner of a contest and a small dish, like dip and chips. Keep it simple and cheap!

Here's a goody you can make... pin the wings on the bat. Draw a bat, and make some black wings from craft foam. Have people try to pin the wings on the bat. Its another fun, inexpensive game.

Have a movie night. Everyone can still dress up, and bring some snacks. Get a movie, such as Hocus Pocus, or Halloween Town and share with the kids and family a fun old movie night.

If you have an addition, we welcome your input on games and fun for the kids and family's in having a safe and fun Halloween!

Halloween for the Ghost and Ghoulies

Perfect for the trick or treaters, our gift baskets are sure to bring a smile to those little ones. Knowing that the kids are safe is a main concern for many. Have a party this year and let the little ones dress up, and have some fun and games, and maybe even have a apple bobbing contest.

Here are some great suggestions for Halloween 2009

Gift Giving Ideas For Fall Part Two

Part #2

Where I left off...

E. Birthdays..... so many times, with this economic woes we find it hard to travel more, and hard to, at times to remember birthdays. By jotting down a friend or family members birthday, we are reminded when they are, and if so to order a gift. A great suggestion for birthdays... combine them together, and send a bigger present than what you would have if for a single birthday. By doing so you will find that you just may have saved a dime or two.

F. Anniversary's..... Wow, not many make 30 years (bit of bragging here) but when family makes a milestone like this, it great to say congratulations. It doesn't take much to get them a congrats gift. Something small and maybe something from the list of milestone anniversary items:
1st Paper
2nd Cotton
3rd Leather
4th Linen
5th Wood

You can view the rest of this great list here:

G. Housewarmings.... A housewarming party, wow those you don't hear about often. BUT why not show your friends or family members that you are so happy for them. Send them a small care package, or gift that says 'WELCOME HOME' a PERFECT gift for the new home owners is a gift that you can put together yourself. Your care package or gift can include: pot holders, microwave popcorn, microwave mac and cheese, tea, coffee (coffee bags like tea) two cups, some small snacks for when they are unpacking their personals.

These lists could go on and on. Use your ingenuity to elaborate and make any of them a wonderful gift idea of your own, and give your personal touch to make them perfect!

Gift Giving ideas for Fall

Hello!

We have many new ideas for the holidays this year, while so many are on budgets. We plan on helping by giving some great suggestions and ideas for the gift givers.

Part #1

Gift giving for the fall.

Gifts for the fall can be many.. You have Back to school, Halloween, Weddings, Babies, Birthdays, Anniversaries, House Warmings, and the list goes on and on.

The key to giving a gift is knowing that it will be appreciated. Most are, however some are the same old drab... maybe a card? or a candy, maybe even a repeat of a gift basket that you have given a while back.

A. Back to school ..... you can make a care package or purchase one. Many times its cheaper, even with shipping to send a care package to the newbie in college, high school or even the little ones. Remember if you go and purchase all the goodies, you will still in the end pay for shipping.

B. Halloween..... Do something different have a party, young and old. Everyone dresses in a costume. Have a gift for the best dressed, cutest, scariest. Assign each family member to bring a gift. This will keep expenses down for you. Tell them you are having a contest. Remember to have some great games... bobbing for apples, scavenger hunt, with items you hide around the house.

C. Weddings..... So many brides to be are so crafty, they end up making their own invites. KUDOS TO THEM!!! Brides, while having the brides maides help, giving a gift of scrapbooking, or something they do and love is very appropriate.

D. Babies..... Babies born or baby showers, they are so cool. Have plenty of games and give aways. So many showers are man and wife attending. Having games where by they all can participate, is a perfect idea. Games: a bottle filled with jelly beans... person who guesses the closest wins, Each attendant take a piece of ribbon and tries to guess the tummy size of the mom to be, Purchase different colored baby foods and every tries to guess the flavor. The best thing.... have everyone who comes bring a package of diapers.

These are just a few suggestions. Remember the list goes on and on, and there are so many variations of games, and gift giving.

Let us know your thoughts.
